Advertise in Google using Google Adwords - Basic google advertising 101

Google adwords advertising is the best shortcut for websites owners to allow your ads to featured in Google search results pages, for your targetted keywords.
Go to http://www.google.com/ and search for something. Do you see those Sponsored Links that appears on the top (in blue background) and right section of your results page? Those are the google advertisers using the Google Adwords scheme.
Here are some free tips to get started on Google Adwords.
1. Create your free account for Google adwords at https://adwords.google.com/select/Login and click on Sign Up.
When you create your account, it’s still for Free so you should try this out. It’s only when you wish to activate your advertisement, then you can add in your credit card information.
2. Choose the Standard Edition and click Continue
3. Here, you need to set the standard language that you wish to target. You can choose several languages that your prospects / customers are using, by using the CTRL (control) key. There are many languages to choose from, ranging from Chinese to Turkish.
- they also request you to choose your targetted location, and it’s best to choose Countries and Territories as your selection before clicking on Continue
4. Choose which countries you wish to target, or select All Countries and Territories if you wish to promote your ads worldwide.
- please note that your current location is already added into the list, so do remember to REMOVE this country from the list, if you were to choose All Countries and Territories
5. Next, is to create your Google Adwords advertisement and then click Continue
- type out your ad according to the allowed maximum no. of characters and you can see your own sample immediately on the box that appears on top of the webpage
- display url means what website / domain that you wish to show eg http://www.internetmarketingcoaching.com/
- destination url means which webpage would the users see if they clicked on your ad. For instance, i can write as http://www.internetmarketingcoaching.com/internet_marketing.htm
6. Choose Keywords that you wish to target
- for instance if i want to target the word internet marketing video, then i will enter this set of keyword in quote as “internet marketing video”
- this means that only if the users are searching for the 3 words together in a set, then my ad will appear. This is called the Phrase Match option
- if without the quotes ” “, then my ad will appear for the words video, or internet or marketing as well
- you can use the Search box on the right to check for more relevant keywords that you can add to your Adwords Campaign.
7. This next step is to Set Pricing whereby you inform Google what is the total budget that you are willing to spend each day and also the maximum price that you are willing to pay for each click.
- they also ask about the Currency that you wish to set for your account. You can choose US$ or your local currency.
8. Now, they will show you the Ad that you have created for you to review and confirm
9. Last step is to enter your particulars as the owner of the Google Adwords account.
- if you are already using other Google services like Gmail, then choose the choice that says I have an email address and password I already use with Google services like AdSense, Gmail, Orkut, or the personalized home page.
- if you do not use any of the other Google services, then choose I do not use these other services and complete the form.
Remember to check your email account used for registration, as you need to click on the given link to confirm your identity, and later on, add in your billing / credit card information before your advertisement will be live.

I just got through watching the infomercial myself and I am also thinking ths is too good to be true. but I was able to find
