When your market is now filled with competition, how do you stand out? You will need to differentiate your Company via Unique Selling Point (USP).
On the same pet market, this young Chinese entrepreneur started the first pet tortoise shop, is now filled with many other similar business models, and a price war ensued. After a couple of months, half of those shops also closed down.
Therefore, this original tortoise lover, decided that he needed to do more than what the others were offering. He decided to give value-added services to his original brick and mortar store. He then started the first tortoise fan club, and invited his customers to an opening in his store. Customers will come along with their pet tortoises, for a free medical checkup for those pets. His shop then gained more branding and loyalty within the group of tortoise lovers, with his USP of the First Tortoise Pet Club.
