Lessons learnt from Successful Entrepreneur : Part 3 – How to increase your business income?
After starting a business, sometimes you will realise that your sales has started to stagnant, and there doesn’t seem to be new sales channels. Therefore, now you need to check out how you can increase your business income.
Among some of the ways to increase your income are to:-
a) increase the purchase amount of the customer
b) increase the frequency of customers’ purchases
c) offer additional complementary services or products
It was then time to consider new sources of income to further strengthen his income growth. While watching an American movie, he saw an actor with tarantulas (special spiders). He forecasted that many Chinese would be following this new western trend, and decided to try out selling exotic pets, by importing lizards, and spiders. Customers to his pet shop can touch and play around with their choice of pets, before bringing them back home. By diversifying his range of products, he has managed to sell more types of pets to customers.
As most of the sources of his pets were from Guangdong and Hong Kong, there came an issue of tortoises dying during the transporting process. Rather than dispose carcasses of those pets, he decided to turn those into display “preserved creatures”. He started displaying his artwork in front of his shop, as part of his interior design. Surprisingly, a couple asked him how much price he is selling for those mummified display items. Being a pet shop owner, he tried to sell them a live pet tortoise, but the couple insisted on buying a display pet, which they wanted to present to their parents as gift. Reason given was that it was easier for their elderly parents to have a display tortoise which they would not need to feed, nor care for.
In this new model, the businessman managed to venture into satisfying another type of customer market, by making use of stocks wastages that he would have just thrown out earlier. He

How to be a successful business entrepreneurs?
Within 4 months of Fione\’s coaching (I\’m from batch KL606, June 2006), my website, 1AlternativeMedicines.com, is ranked no.1 in MSN, and within 6 months, it is now ranked no.1 in Google & Yahoo. It was a great internet marketing experience & achievement! Because I know nuts about creating website, let alone HTML. I\’m just an architect entrepreneur who design, manage projects, and get more projects from existing clients…that\’s how I run my business together with my husband, also an architect, for 12 years (20 years in my husband\’s case).
All I did was follow the step-by-step coaching in the Weekly Coaching Schedule & the Online Coaching Meeting….and put a bit of creativity here & there by studying the websites eOneNet.com & InternetMarketingCoaching.com.
But most of all…THINK POSITIVE! Because in my experience, when nothing happen in the first 3 months, you started to think about your MYR8,000++ investment on eOneNet! Ha ha ha.
Although we have not yet made any sales, but by the look of the increasing number of visitors going into the website daily through press releases, dropshippers, blogs, and inquiries through the b2b portals…..I\’m confident that the jackpot is just round the corner! Again…feeding my mind with positive ions
In other words, to be a successful business entrepreneurs, whatever business it might be….GET A SOLID COACH, HAVE A SOLID MIND POWER!
