Internet influences 77% of consumer electronics purchases
According to a survey conducted by Yahoo and the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) on US$32.5 billion consumer electronics purchases, over 77% of the buyers was influenced by the Internet.
US$25.1 billion, which is 77%, used the Internet as their main research before making the purchase.
The most popular ways for their online research included using search engines, visiting manufacturers’ & retailers’ websites and using shopping engines.
Customers who buy electronics viewed that there were many benefits to using the Internet including:-
a) Easier to compare prices in different stores (73%)
b) Able to research on a wider selection of products (64%)
Even if the customers have searched online, there were 45% who decided to continue their purchases offline. Therefore, if you a company with a current business offline, you should definitely see how to use the Internet to drive these online customers to your store.

The internet is a powerful source. By using the internet to do some research before getting down to the store to purchase anything, it actualy saves alot of time rather than going shops to shops to compare price. the internet would also provide the location of the stores and you can check out the most convenient one for you before going out for the purchase.
