Marketing & Training Executive passionate about exquisite Dining
Hiya! I’m Amy from Hong Kong. I joined eOneNet Ltd in Hong Kong in October 2006 as a Marketing & Training Executive. This is my first job since back in Asia. I am originally from London. eOneNet and Internet Marketing business is pretty new to me, as I was from a retail business background. I’m still adjusting to the culture shock experiences in Asia as things are not pretty much the way you expected to be here. Plus, I am totally home sick especially during this winter time of the year. What I’ll be missing this Christmas, beside the Christmas annual party, food like Yorkshire pudding, good turkey stuffing and crackers! Not really crazy bout Krispy Kreme Donut, but whenever I heard or seen the brand, pretty much remind me of London. I tried my first Krispy Kreme Donut in Hong Kong. They just opened 2 branches in Hong Kong Island. This is the only things that get me closer to HK! Beside Donuts, the second best stuff I’ve been trying to get hold of, Ravioli. Not many Fusion Italian restaurants that does nice Ravioli! Can you imagine they don’t have it on the Pizza Express menu?!
The best things I ever tried, Black squid ink spaghetti in one of the finest restaurant in Venice. It’s was a hidden treasure near the famous Rialto Bridge. Another was seafood spaghetti wrap in tin foil, was also a hidden treasure in Roman Steps Square in Rome. My sister introduced me to Sally Lunn’s Bun restaurant which was world famous for Bun & Jam. while in Bath. A bit disappointed that I haven’t got the chance to try UK most famous chef, Gordan Ramsey’s restaurant in London. And also the world nominated best Restaurant Fat Duck in Bray, Berkshire.
Above picture was taken last year with my workmates cum friends. We were dining at this new exclusive restaurant, Eathai near Bond Street. This is a Chinese Thai restaurant owned by a chain owner of Hakkasan Restaurant in Tottenham Court Road. It’s famous for Fusion Oriental mixture and elegant dining interior.
In London, you still can get good Japanese food. Not talking bout those franchise shop like Genki Sushi. But more like proper Japanese restaurant fully operated by Japanese. There’s this highly recommend hidden place behind the trendy Regent Street. Both me and partner enjoy food; he was the first to inspire me to tried raw salmon sashimi. I only love the freshly prepared salmon sashimi from this restaurant name, Sakura. Beside, the fish egg roe rice is nice as well. My usual meal includes Caplico, a Japanese yogurt drink. It’s such a lovely experience dining in there as though you feel like you’re in Japan that instant! I’ve been through thick and thin out there, and I learnt a lot. It’s not easy to settle in another new place when languages, culture and ethic is an issue. Life is like Russian roulette when you keep on spinning around in life and stop in the point where you come to wake up in the real cruel world. But food is always a great source of comfort. Here, I would like to take this opportunity to thank my supportive parents and friends who have faith in me.
Thank you so much mates!

Hey Amy,
Merry Christmas Amy!
Ive been hoping to visit London for a while now. EVery time I want to go, my family will end up flying to other destinations. Hopefully, can go in April next year. Am looking forward to watching a couple of EPL games involving Tottenham Hotspur and perhaps move up north to watch Manchester United in action.
I’m an EPL (English Premier League) fan for many years now and these are the 2 teams that I support.
Do you support any football team? Tottenham Hotspurs by any chance?
Have a great holiday season!

Amy, it’s very interesting to read about your culinary adventures. Malaysia is well known as the melting pot, thus I’m sure you’ll enjoy the diversity in culture, people and food. Furthermore, 2007 is Visit Malaysia Year!

Hiya to everyone of eOneNet Malaysia! Thanks for your lovely greetings and Merry Christmas to all of you.
For Kevin,
I am not really a football fan. But I do fancy T. Henry from Arsenal as i think he is the most charming Va Va voom guy from France (He was in this TV car advert commercial). I met him once while he was out shopping alone. But miss the chance to approach him. I’ve heard its really worth to watch MU in action and there’s a museum as well! The fun part being in England is whenever comes football season, it’s absolute madness!
Cheers everyone!

I haven’t been back to London since I graduated from University of Wales “some” years ago. I liked shopping there, like the Covent Garden. The best thing was it was convenient to go to Paris, which I went for twice.

Hi Harrace,
Wow.. its seem Covent Garden has been around since your Wales time. Actually London central is tiny, as I can remember how to walk from Oxford Street-Regent Street-Leceister Square to Convent Garden. For tourists, you’ll enjoy the little English market in the center selling all sort of handicrafts, arts and deco. During the weekend, you be able to enjoy few street performances. For locals, the main thing we go to Covent Garden is to go to the pubs. There are few good bars and pubs around Convent Garden. There’s this pub named Porterhouse popular for its brewery. I’ve tried a honey beer and comes in other flavor as well.
In my opinion, Venice is the best ideal place for romance, come second place is Rome and third is Paris. Been there and I felt I had achieved part of my childhood dream. It’s an amazing feeling. How many of you ever wonder when younger, which part of the world you want to visit and had achieved it?
