Hong Kong Brands & Products Expo 2006 with Fione
This was the first year i’m visiting the Hong Kong Brands & Products Expo on 30 Dec 2006. This is open till 10pm and is like a night market concept (like Malaysia’s pasar malam). You can visit this fair each year at the Victoria Park in Causeway Park.

You will need to buy a ticket for entry and that is only about HK$10, then you will get a catalog with discount vouchers and contest forms too.
Dress to walk comfortably as you’ll need to pass through lots of people and booths.

Surprisingly you can even buy genuine jewelry, such as diamond and gold from popular brands. You can see elaborately decorated booths with plasma tv and some were even built up to double storeys. 
It’s not your typical flea market as you can buy all sorts of items such as dried seafood like abalone, or other foodstuff like noodles. Plenty of food tasting were available and items were sold on discounted prices. The fair exhibitors are very interactive, and came up with many interesting ideas to lure customers into their booth. Here i am in a beauty booth. After i received their free hand parafin wax, i had to sit down and listen to their sales pitch… Yes, i began to regret accepting the free offer, haha.
Did i buy lots of items? Not really, but i did buy something extra ordinary such as the steam iron, reflexology slippers, honey, and also birds nest. After you finish shopping, you can relax in the food section where you can eat ice-cream, fish balls, hainanese chicken rice, and even freshly made shanghainese pork dumplings by the Super Star restaurant.
