Korean restaurant @ Causeway Bay, Hong Kong

I love to try new restaurants each week and will be bringing you updated dining reviews with photos of the food choices there. Last Saturday evening, i had dinner at a Korean restaurant @ Causeway Bay.

Korean seafood hot stone dinner

Can you guess what this is?

This is a Korean seafood hot stone. There is mixture of squid, prawns, fish slices, and also preserved vegetables (kimchee). The portion is quite huge and before eating, you need to mix up all the ingredients before eating. At the bottom of the hot stone bowl, you will find rice crust that is slightly burnt and i actually liked eating that. It taste like crispy crackers. This cost HK$58.

The next item i had was grilled salmon and two small slices were just about HK$18. Last on the list, i tried out the spicy chicken.

Spicy korean chicken

The chicken was first deep fried then the spicy sauce was added in. Some might find the sauce a little spicy at first but after the 2nd piece, you will get accustomed to the taste. This cost HK$38.

Overall the restaurant us quite quiet as it’s located on Level 4 of a shopping mall. I can’t really recall the name of the mall. When you come out of the causeway bay mtr (the exit for Victoria Park), you will just need to head towards Sogo shopping center. And you’ll find this mall on your right side, with lots of restaurants inside. This korean restaurant is on Level 4.

You can actually have a choice of having buffet style where you order unlimited servings of a special ala-carte menu at about HK$100 per person. The buffet will be more suitable if you are having the time to try out the different items there, and if you are “slim” enough. For me, i’ll just take the ala-carte option this round.
