Have You Scored 100?
It’s a long Easter holiday weekend in Hong Kong. I am now back to Malaysia to take a short break.
Yesterday, I went to the Country Heights Health Screening Centre in Mont Kiara for a medical check-up. Unlike a hospital, it has a relaxing ambience. Because of the various tests I took, I had to stay there from morning till afternoon. I had a chance to read a brochure about the Centre, in which it advocates the concept of 100.
The “1″ in “100″ stands for health.
The 2nd “0″ stands for wealth.
The last “0″ stands for status.
If you have all three, you will have a perfect score of 100. However, if you don’t have health, even if you have the other two, the score is 0.
This is a creative way to explain health is more important than wealth or status. But I would add two more ”0″, making the perfect score to be “10000″.
The 4th “0″ is family. Without a family, even you have score 100, you would still not be happy. A good real example is the Asia’s richest woman, the late Nina Wang. Before she knew she had terminal cancer last December and had a few months more to live, she was supposed to score 100. However, it was reported that she was so lonely that she had to keep a pet monkey as her companion.
The last “0″ is friends, the importance of which needs no explanation here.
So the question for this post should be:
Have you scored 10000? Or do you have other “0″ to add?

At this stage of my life now, I haven’t attain the wealth and status part yet. However, my own perception of the perfect 100 would be 1:health, 0:happiness, 0:relationship status. I’m still working hard towards attaining the ideal standard for each digit though! I feel that the success scale depends entirely on how one gauges it. If in your heart you feel that you have reached the standard you set, then you have already got the perfect score. For rest of us who haven’t achieve it, let’s work hard together!
