Yumiko Video Becomes A Smashing Hit, Again!

Thursday, June 28th, 2007

Posted by Harrace

Yumiko Cheng Hei Yi (鄭希怡), an upcoming Hong Kong singer, grabbed the headline in local newspapers and magazines again, just 6 months after her T-back video became a smashing hit in YouTube. This round, her video was also due to wardrobe malfunction, while she was performing in a show in Toronto.

In the last video, it was the lower part of the body, and in the latest video which was uploaded to YouTube a few days ago, it was the upper part of her body. Within 3 days, the video got more than 500,000 views!

How can this happen? I mean getting half a million views for a video within 3 days. This is an excellent example of viral marketing. Someone watched the show on TV, taped the video and then uploaded it to YouTube. Those who have watched the show then spread the news to their friends, who in turn spread the news to their friends, via forums, blogs etc, and this goes on and on. For those who haven’t watched the show, they would search for ”Yumiko video“ in YouTube.

This is why YouTube has become so popular and can be utilized as a platform to spread your advertising and promotion message. We have been practising this for quite a while and have uploaded more than 100 videos to YouTube and Google Video.

I just did a search for “eOneNet‘ in Google video, and the search results show 177 listings, including videos from our media interviews, testimonials from our customers, seminar highlights etc.

How can you also use video to promote your site and get more traffic?

Search Engine Optimization Hong Kong - SEO Tips

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

Posted by Harrace, Senior Internet marketing coach

If you are targetting the US or Europe market, you can just focus on getting top rankings in Google and Yahoo. If you get top rankings in Google, chances are that you can also achieve top rankings in Yahoo.

However, if you want to target the Chinese market, e.g. Hong Kong, you will need to do search engine optimization (SEO) to target the local search engines of Google (Google.com.hk) and Yahoo (Yahoo.com.hk)

What should you do before you submit your sites to HK Google and Yahoo? First of all, you should translate your site to Chinese (traditional), and then apply the SEO strategies in the similar way.

The first question is how to research for hot keywords for the Hong Kong market. You cannot rely on Overture.com, Wordtracker, or any other keyword research tools suggested by other non-Chinese speaking Internet marketers, as they don’t have any relevant stats for Hong Kong market. (more…)

Internet Marketing Hong Kong Entrepreneurs Have Preferential Treatment

Tuesday, June 26th, 2007

Posted by Harrace, Senior Internet Marketing Coach

After the amazing and fun filled Internet marketing coaching weekend in Singapore, I am now back to Hong Kong, my home country. Right now, Fione is conducting another Internet marketing seminar at Open University Hong Kong, addressing to a group of budding Hong Kong Internet marketing entrepreneurs.

I started by asking the question “How many of you are making money online?”

Despite Hong Kong being considered one of the technologically advanced cities in Asia, the percentage of participants who are already making money online is a mere 5%, which is similar to Malaysia and Singapore.

One of the participants shared he is selling shoes to youngsters online, but he’s making losses because he couldn’t figure out how to get traffic to his sites without spending advertising expenses. So that’s why he paid a fee to attend our seminar today to learn about low costs or free traffic generation tools.

Owing to the good foresight of Hong Kong Government when Tung Chi Wah was the Chief Executive of Hong Kong, Continuing Education Fund (CEF) was introduced (with a fund of HK$5 billion) which enables Hong Kong residents to claim 80% or up to HK$10,000 for approved courses.

Within one year after eOneNet has launched the Internet marketing coaching course in Hong Kong, we’ve already got approval for the course. So now Hong Kong people can claim up to HK$10,000 after attending our course, which represents 50% of the course fee!

This is the highest amount of funding compared to similar fundings in Malaysia (which offers about RM2,500) and Singapore (which offers only S$7 per hour, so only about S$200 even if we got the SDF).

So Hong Kongers, with this kind of monetary preferential treatment, can you afford to wait?

Amazing Singapore Internet Marketing Coaching Weekend - Day 1

Saturday, June 23rd, 2007

Posted by Harrace

Wow, the much awaited Internet marketing coaching weekend in Singapore is taking place right now, with the computer lab packed with zealous budding Internet entrepreneurs!

Day 1 started with the first session - Finding & Creating Hot-selling Products. As expected, 80% of the class don’t have any ideas of what to sell. So Fione started it off by revealing the different things to sell online, including products, services, and information.

There are some techniques to search for manufacturers / suppliers of products, which not everyone knows. Using these techniques, you will be able to source any products you want to get, online.

eonenet internet marketing coaching

If you are the lazy type, you can also sell products without yourself doing delivery via a  special kind of supplier. In one of the examples shown, a jewelry watch retailing S$100 -S$150 in Singapore is only selling US$14.99 in one of the supplier’s site, which you may buy just one piece!

So you’ve got supplies to a hot-selling product, the next question is determining the pricing. You’ll need to do research on the pricing of same or similar products, in order to work out a competitive pricing, which can still give you a healthy profit margin. We show the sites you can use to check this out.

But how can you know whether the product is hot-selling online before you source for the supplies? After all, there is no point to source for and sell products which do not have a huge demand online. We reveal the top 3 sites you must check to find out what products people are already searching or buying online.

Targetting the right keywords are also important. Even you may have a winning product, if you use the wrong keywords to describe it in your site, the results may be poor. In one of the examples, for the same products, one popular keyword used in Singapore and Hong Kong got a search count of 8,076 only whereas another keyword describing the same product produced a search count of 986,732!

Amazingly, one of the participants shared that she opened an online store selling kids wear just one week ago, and got orders for 6 pieces of clothes from just one customer, even before she attends the coaching class today!

Before lunch time, each participant has opened a new Google AdWords account, live, which can be used to generate instant traffic to their sites, when done correctly.

The next session was one of the most important topics, as it can make or break your website - Copywriting incorporating sales psychology. Without doing this properly, top rankings in search engines or tons of traffic cannot help you convert visitors into buyers. Done properly, you can sell products cheaper or even more expensive than competitors. We have been deploying this strategy to move millions of dollars worth of products and services.

More amazing making money ideas and research tools are revealed in the afternoon session, before the day was ended with the highlight of the day - a cash contest, which the participants applied what they learned today.

I found that we are sharing more and more practical know-how and experience in each new coaching class, as we are also learning and testing new stuffs each day. This is why we can boast to groom more successful Internet entrepreneurs, than any other Internet marketing seminars or Internet marketing coaching programs in Asia. And this is what makes eOneNet, and our customers / participants truly No.1 on the Net !

So stay tuned for more Internet success stories!

Friday, June 22nd, 2007

Posted by Harrace

eOneNet’s Singapore Team is now conducting the 2nd hands-on Internet marketing blog workshop this evening. A group of Singaporeans are opening their first blogs, under the coaching of Fione.

I can see the excitements of participants finally owning their first blogs, like a mother having her first baby!

Although some of us are Internet savvy and already have our blogs, there is still a large proportion of the population, especially the older generation and the non-techies. who need specific step-by-steps guidance to get started.

Let’s hear what they have to say.

One of eOneNet.com’s hot-selling products is our Internet marketing video - Internet Success Coaching DVD, which comes in 3 different packages:

This is an excellent option for those who want to start an Internet business or propel an existing business to the next level, via online marketing.

2. Internet Success Coaching DVD Superpack

You got the same package except there is no website builder. This is suitable for those who already have websites or who want to build more professional sites.

3. Internet Success Coaching DVD only

So you got the DVDs only without any online coaching or support. This is suitable for those who are experienced Internet marketers or those who are good at self-studying.

Our latest success story is Ruby, from Hong Kong, who claims 70% of her husband’s company business is now from the Internet, with one of the orders in May this year worth HK$300,000!

This week, we received another order for the DVD Megapack from the Philippines. This is not the first time we got online orders for our Internet marketing video from the Philippines.

So why did this customer buy from eOneNet? Here is an excerpt of his email to me:

———

hello harrace,

yup i have finally received your reply.  I am sorry to have sent the message again.  I didn’t notice that you already sent your confirmation.

I work for a printing company that makes billboards and other banners.  I do the layouts in Photoshop and Corel but I still consider myself a non-techie…

eOneNet Will Groom More Singapore Internet Marketing Entrepreneurs This Weekend

Friday, June 22nd, 2007

Posted by Harrace, Senior Internet Marketing Coach

I am back to Singapore this week with Fione, and have already conducted two Internet marketing seminars and one blog marketing seminar. This evening, we will present the second hands-on blog marketing workshop in Singapore, and then a special group of lucky budding Internet marketing entrepreneurs will have an opportunity to attend the top (and most popular) Internet marketing coaching program this weekend, which has been full house since 1 or 2 months ago. If you want to join the Singapore class and make real money online, you have to wait for the next class to be held in October.

I am down with flu and cough this week. Taking medicine doesn’t seem to help much. Fortunately, I don’t have to do a lot of talking as most of the talking is done by Fione :)

Mobile broadband in Malaysia : Digi GPRS vs Celcom 3G?

Monday, June 18th, 2007

Has anyone signed up for the mobile broadband services in Malaysia? Well, i’m personally using 2 services right now. Here are the reviews of the services, and my experience so far.

1. Digi GPRS services

- for RM99 a month, you can have unlimited broadband surfing for your laptop. For this one, we needed to buy the Sony Ericsson GPRS card for about RM900 (special price if you open up a new Postpaid mobile phone line)

- supplementary Data card (meaning that sim card cannot be used for making phone calls) with same unlimited broadband is at RM33 per month

- the experience has been the best so far, as whether i am using this in hotels all across Malaysia, or in my office in Damansara Perdana, the internet connection is stable.

- i was at Low Yat Plaza yesterday, and they had a promotion where for new subscribers to this service can even get a HP laptop with free 1 year worth of unlimited GPRS broadband services for the price of about RM3,400! I signed up again for this service and you can get an option for a free HP mobile phone with inbuilt 1.3 megapixel camera or the GPRS usb modem to slot your SIM card in. I choose the option with the additional free GPRS modem as i’ve got way too many phones already! This offer is for a new line only so i’ll have to terminate my existing data services on one of my Digi phone line. The laptop will be added in as one of the brand new laptops for our computer lab training classes.

2. Celcom 3G broadband data

- This is at RM99 per month for unlimited usage too, but you will not be able to have a supplementary special offer like what Digi offers. They had an offer when i signed up about 2 weeks ago for buy a Huawei 3G modem card at RM999 and get 1 year of broadband usage for Free so i bought this package. If you are already using Streamyx services at home, then you can get a special RM88 price per month for this additional mobile broadband service.

- Supposedly 3G (or some even calls it 3.5G, will be faster than GPRS) but my experience proved otherwise. In my PJ office, the connection is ok. However when i use this service in my new apartment in Dsara Perdana, in many instances, the connection will automatically terminate every 5 or 10 minutes so that was horrible! The only good thing about this service was that the Huawei modem can be installed on our Fujitsu laptop (of which the Digi’s Sony Ericsson modem cannot be installed!).

If you decide to surf without the GPRS or 3G modem, then you can use the BlueTooth on your mobile phone to connect to the Bluetooth function on your laptop (so your mobile phone will act as the modem) but this method does not guarantee a stable internet connection, plus the speed is slower than the direct plug in modem.

I’ve not tried the Maxis mobile broadband services yet but realised my current maxis mobile phone services seem to be giving me lots of “disconnected” calls these recent weeks so i was wondering whether it’s mobile broadband internet services would be having any such problems too…
