How to use the Internet to promote Agro products

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

Posted by Fione Tan, Head Internet Marketing Coach

I’m now at Bali, Indonesia training a group of enthusiastic professionals from over 13 countries on how to use Internet marketing.

Our focus industry for this round is Agro products, meaning ideas like apples from Taiwan, mangoes from Philippines, durian from Thailand and organic green tea from Sri Lanka.

Language proved to be not a barrier for all the participants and in our workshop today, we are getting online live to do our research online.

Everyone is busy coming up with ideas on what niche products to sell, and later we will attempt to find B2B buyers online from the large online trading portals.

Top Internet Marketing Coach Reviews Best Airport Business Lounges

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

Posted by Fione, Head Internet Marketing Coach

I am now writing this post from Bali!

I’ve been hired to conduct private internet marketing training & workshop for an event organised by Ministry of Agriculture, Indonesia and the group of participants consists of professionals from more than 10 countries.

On 29 July (Sunday), I took the early morning flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Denpasar, Bali island of Indonesia. It was the flight MH715 and departs at 9.50am. Each day, there are 2 flights operated by Malaysia Airlines. I was taking the Business Class flight and the price was about RM3,600 with the airport taxes for this flight sector (of course, this was paid for by the organizer of the event). The economy class flight ticket was about RM1,800 due to the holiday season, so if at a non-peak season the air ticket price will be cheaper. I was late for the KL Sentral in-town check-in (you need to be there before 2 hours of your departure time) so I had to drag my luggage to the airport. There, I realised that the priority counters for business class was slow, where I waited for at least 15 minutes.

I went through the immigration and then headed to the Malaysia Airlines lounge. Breakfast was served till 11am so I ate prawn kuey teow soup noodle and ordered an orange ice blended drink.

Magazines, newspapers were aplenty and the comfy cushions could easily enable you to doze off. If the soup or porridge were not your choice, you can help yourselves to the Malaysia (nasi lemak, sambal, chicken rending), or the Western (chicken croissant sandwiches, baked beans, eggs & toasts) style spread of light snacks.

One thing very different that you won’t find in other airport lounges is that for Malaysia Airlines you can find the “kaya” jam spread! I should try to toast the bread and make my very own “roti bakar” next time. Cutleries used in the Malaysia Airlines lounge in KLIA was the Wedgewood brand (which you can see the W sign when you flip the plate / saucer over)

wedgewood brand

How does this compare with all the other business class lounges? The national carrier business class lounge are having the best facilities when the lounge is in their own country. Some of the business class lounges I’ve been to include:-

  1. Kuala Lumpur International Airport Cathay Pacific lounge
  2. Kuala Lumpur International Airport Emirates lounge
  3. Bangkok Airport Thai Airways lounge
  4. Hong Kong Cathay Pacific The Wing lounge (they have got 2 lounges, the other called The Pier which I always seemed to miss out),
  5. Dubai, UAE Emirates Lounge
  6. Lahore, Pakistan Cathay Pacific Lounge
  7. Tehran, Iran Emirates Lounge

Which one I felt was the best? I like the Dubai Emirates Lounge in its airport and probably because I had a nice refreshing shower during my travel there, and also its decor and good food!

wedgewood brand

If you are taking business class and plan to visit the lounge, do make sure that you have at least 1 hour to spare prior to the departure time and then you will have time to enjoy the visit there. I’ve missed out many too eg like the Taipei Airport Malaysia Airlines lounge, and more.

Who is the World’s No.1 Improved Brand?

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

Posted by Harrace, Senior Internet Marketing Coach

Yahoo, eBay, Amazon, or Google?

It’s the World’s No.1 search engine, Google! According to Interbrand and Business Week’s annual survey of the global brands just released, Google is the World’s most improved brand, with brand value increase of 44% over the last year, now valued at US$17.8 billion. Its overall position is No.20.

Other Internet brands that made the Top 100 Brand list are:

eBay - No.48: 7.5 billion

Yahoo - No.55: 6 billion

Amazon - 62: 5.4 billion

So how is this calculation of brand value arrived at? According to this report, the factors include the total sales under the brand, and the earnings that are attributable to the power of the brand itself.

Who is the World’s No.1 brand?

It’s still Coca Cola, with a value of 65.3 billion!

Who is No.1 Internet Marketing Coach?

Monday, July 30th, 2007

Posted by Harrace, Senior Internet Marketing Coach

The question “Who is the No.1 Internet Marketing Coach” may be controversial, even though eOneNet.com has been successfully branded as such, by virtue of our many achievements and solid proof.

It’s interesting to note today that a Singapore Internet marketing website copies eOneNet.com and claim to be No.1 Internet marketing seminars (with 6 months support) and No.1 Internet Marketing Coach, by claiming some #1 rankings for some technical keywords which no one will search, and which is not related to Internet marketing, or even Internet marketing coach or Internet marketing seminars.

As for eOneNet.com, we started to brand ourselves as being ranked No.1 Internet marketing coach since 2003 after we managed to get the No.1 rankings in top search engines. Initially, we have attracted some critics for the reason that being ranked No.1 Internet marketing coach in search engine doesn’t really mean we are No.1. This is not wrong. However, our claim was that we rank No.1 by search engines only, which is not wrong either.

Now, eOneNet.com has succeeded in owning this enviable No. 1 position, not just by virtue of our No.1 rankings in most Internet marketing related keywords, but more importantly, by our branding, leading market share in Asia, unmatched customer’s support in our regional offices, and real successful Asian success stories. That’s why our fee is the most expensive in Asia (3 to 4 times more expensive than our closest competitors) but customers are still willing to pay because they know they would get what they paid for.

Who else has got real experience of selling online, both B2B and B2C, not just Internet marketing or making money information, and moving millions of dollars of products and services (and so do some of their successful students)? :)

How To Avoid eBay Fraud

Saturday, July 28th, 2007

Posted by Harrace, Senior Internet Marketing Coach

Because of the 5 Million Hong Kong Dollar eBay fraud just surfaced in the news in the last 2 days, we are reminded of the seriousness of this matter, which is in fact happening everyday! So the question is: Is there any way to avoid or at least reduce the risks of eBay fraud?

In fact, there are ways you can protect yourself against the fraudster. Here I am speaking from my 7 years’ of personal experience of selling online.

1. Know the Seller

Before and while bidding for the Seller’s products, check out the Seller information, including the address, phone no. What about the seller’s ratings? You can use this as a reference only as this is not conclusive of the seller’s credibility or reliability. Certainly, a high rating seller looks more credible than a lower rating seller. However, there are various ways for the seller to pump up the ratings, such as:

- Offering incentives to the buyers to give positive feedback

- The Seller opening other eBay accounts to bid for his own products and leave positive feedback.

So it’s not just a matter of reading the ratings of the seller. It would be prudent to read the individual feedback, and to spot any dubious ones, such as feedback by the same person repeatedly. You should also read negative or even neutral feedback, as some buyers are reluctant to give negative feedback, for fear of retaliation by the seller (by returning negative feedback to the buyer)

What is the use of getting the Seller’s address and phone no? If the final bidding price of the product is more than a few hundred dollars, it would be prudent to call the seller to confirm whether this is a real person, and whether the phone no. is genuine and can reach the seller.

2. Know the Products

Read the description of the products carefully. For example, for jewelry, whether it is genuine, or “genuine man-made”. I’ve seen some listings where the seller is selling you over 1,000 carats of ruby at a Buy It Now price of US$15.95 only. But all that the seller can show a picture of a gunny sac, as shown below.

Gunny Sac of Ruby

If you want the fish in your aquarium to swim with “rubies” stones, then this may be a good deal for you!

3. Know the Price

Research for the normal market price of the products. If it’s too good to be true, then may be it is. However, some fraudsters are now more clever, like those Hong Kong eBay sellers, as they are selling at the normal price or just slightly below the market price. So buying at the normal price doesn’t mean you are protected.

4. Know the Payment Mode (more…)

Hong Kong eBay Sellers Defraud 5 Million Dollars - Buyers Beware!

Friday, July 27th, 2007

Posted by Harrace, Senior Internet Marketing Coach

Auction fraud, in particular in eBay, being the biggest auction site, is happening worldwide. Today, Hong Kong eBay fraud made the headline in the news with a group of faked ebay sellers cheating more than 5 million Hong Kong dollars!

The Hong Kong police has arrested 8 people, who were alleged to sell new and limited edition electronic items in eBay, and after receiving payment, never shipped out the goods.

During the last 6 months, they put up items like MP3, memory cards, and DVD players for auction in ebay, and the products were sold at normal price or slightly below the normal price, from a few hundred dollars up to $5,000 per item.

So who would bear the loss? Most probably the buyer!

Wait, but does eBay and Paypal have some buyer protection policy? Yes, they do, but the protection is very limited.

1. eBay doesn’t guarantee the items sold on eBay, as eBay is not the seller. Buyer is soley responsible for checking out the sellers and the product description, including return and refund policy. Even though you may get some sort of protection from eBay, if the product is not as described or never shipped, the claim process would take a long time. Do you have the experience of making similar claims to eBay before?

2. Paypal’s protection is limited to unauthorised transactions, i.e. if the buyer’s card was charged without the buyer’s authority, but it doesn’t protect for cases of non-delivery.

So is there any way to avoid or reduce the risks of fraud?

You are welcome to post any suggestions here. I will make a separate post on “How To Avoid eBay Fraud”. Stay tuned!

Building Your Website in Hong Kong Internet Marketing Coaching - Day 2

Sunday, July 22nd, 2007

Posted by Harrace, Senior Internet Marketing Coach

Day 2 in Hong Kong started with the topic Testing to Improve Response. This is the single most step to increase sales. Here we are talking about generating more sales, not traffic. There is no point in driving more traffic to your website, if the traffic does not convert to SALES.

Hong Kong Internet Marketing Coaching

I shared one of my testing campaigns for sending emails to get participants for our Internet marketing seminars. Campaign A got 400% more response than campaign B! Without testing, we could have lost 400% sales!

Hong Kong Internet Marketing Coaching

The participants are building their website live, during the next session, using eOneNet’s search engines friendly DIY Site Builder . Some of the previous participants’ websites using this Site Builder include http://www.asianmeals.com/, http://www.8giftideas.com/ , http://www.1specialjewelry.com/. Before the end of this session, all the participants have built a website already, and even picked up basic HTML skills!

As shared by one of our successful students, Alice, of http://www.1maidhk.com/ yesterday, the key to success is RESEARCH. We shared the top online tools and websites you MUST use in order to target the right keywords, the hot products and market. You may know some of these tools, but the key is how to use these tools and data properly in order to hit the right products.

The highlight of the day is the application of these two days’ training with an Internet business project contest. Different teams came up with interesting ideas supported by stats to prove the market demand.

Who says it’s difficult to find hot products to sell online?

1st CEF Hong Kong Internet Marketing Coaching Reveals Make Money Online Secrets

Saturday, July 21st, 2007

Posted by Harrace, Senior Internet Marketing Coach

LATEST UPDATE: eOneNet.com’s CEF Hong Kong Certificate in Practical Internet Marketing webpage now launched! CLICK HERE.

The much awaited Hong Kong CEF approved Internet marketing coaching class commences today, and is now being held at Open University of Hong Kong (which is at the same building as our office here).

Hong Kong Internet Marketing Coaching

To improve the online support and tracking, we have launched a new members’ area for those who joined the class as from today, applicable to Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore. This new support and tracking online system, I believe is the best Internet marketing coaching system in Asia, and probably also world’s best:)

While the support of other so called Internet marketing coaching program is limited to email and forum support, we have comprehensive online system to track each individual participants progress, including submission and marking of assignments online, online Q & A system, online meeting room, and more.

Hong Kong Internet Marketing Coaching

Unlike most other Internet marketers who can teach you to sell ebooks or information only (because of their limited experience), we have ample successful experience of selling physical products online, including B2C and B2B. In fact, the bulk of eCommerce transactions are for selling physical products, not information. If you are interested to make real money and bigger dollar amount, you should sell physical products. So you would have to learn from those who know.

So the course commences with the first topic - Finding and Sourcing for Hot Products To Sell Online.

Step 1: Fione shares how to research for hot selling products using free online tools, and how to target suitable keywords. For example, if you want to do slimming or weight loss, it would make a big difference if you use the keyword “slimming” instead of “weight loss”.

Step 2: Source for manufacturers, suppliers, wholesalers, and dropshippers, and the top sourcing websites you must use.

Some of our successful students shared their experience in starting their Internet business, including Ryan Li, who is selling crystals online. He shared how he sourced for his products and the tips in dealing with suppliers. I was very impressed when he showed me his Chinese blog which attracted more than 10,000 visitors, in less than 3 months, just because he got top 2 rankings for a popular Chinese keyword in Yahoo.com.hk.

Jack, student of the first batch in Hong Kong last May, shared his persistence to complete the website within the first week after the class, and now without doing much work, he’s getting distributors for his products in Germany, Singapore, and other countries and his products are selling like hot cakes at http://www.8giftidea.com/

Alice, who has completed two websites within 6 months after the class, shared her detailed research and the improvement of her website traffic, after launching a blog. Her site is now getting orders from Bahamas, Spain, Singapore and other countries, even for services, at http://www.1maidhk.com/. She also shared the research tools she is using to locate niche markets.

Hong Kong Internet Marketing Coaching

Success breeds success. What better than learning from real Asian making real money online?
