Singapore Internet Marketing Seminar Ad Copies eOneNet
Posted by Harrace, Senior Internet Marketing Coach
While I was on board Singapore Airlines this afternoon flying from Hong Kong to Singapore, I noticed an ad in Strait Times promoting another Internet Marketing seminar. What caught my attention was the headline of the ad, part of which was substantially similar to the headline of the Internet marketing seminar ad eOneNet has been using since 2003.
The relevant part of the headline was “…How You Can Start Your Own Internet Business And Make Real Money Online …..” whereas our headline is:
“How To Sell Online And Make Real Money…..”
Do you think these two headlines are substantially similar? If yes, this maybe another case of infringing eOneNet’s copyright.
We are taking legal proceedings against two companies, one in Malaysia and the other in Hong Kong, for infringing the copyright of our website, in their website copy and ads. We have also complained to Google against another blog for infringement of copyright in this blog. There is even a renowned US company copying one of our articles in its website!
It’s one thing to borrow someone else’s ideas, which may be legal, though not commendable. It’s another thing, and illegal, to infringe copyright of other’s work, whether it’s in a book, seminar, website, or ad.
I wonder if eOneNet.com is the most copied Asia Internet marketing company! The copied materials include our ads, seminars, coaching, website contents, and meta tags of our websites. While we have the means and capability to sue the infringers to protect our rights, I guess some of you who had the experience of being copied are not able to take any action to defend your rights. Do you have the experience of being copied?

Nowdays everybody copies here and there. Google has no control for that. Perhaps on the blogissue on blogspot, they probably could do something. My blog too always get copied and pasted exactly same content onto some other blogs

In fact, you may complain to Google and Yahoo for any infringement of your copyright found in Bloggers or Yahoo blogs.
I’ve written a complaint letter to Google before, a sample of which was posted at http://www.eonenet.com/internet_marketing_blog/2006/12/20/complaint-to-google-for-yumiko-t-back-video-copyright-infringement/
