Being an entrepreneur is something you might want to consider if you hope to make the big bucks. More and more young people are entering the business world by opting to start their own companies.
How would you like to be a self-made millionaire at 20? If you’ve passed that age, would you then like to make it before touching 25 or 30?
It’s really not impossible you know? Sean Belnick did it. He hasn’t even got a degree yet, but already this much written-about 20-year-old American earned over RM100 million last year.
Interviews about him tell us he’s like any other young adult: He listens to 50 Cent, T.I., “anything”, though he says it depends on his “mood”. He watches South Park and Family Guy, and attends classes at a Georgian university.
But follow Belnick to his place of work, and his average guy act wears off. The people Belnick works with aren’t his co-workers – they’re his employees. And Belnick doesn’t work for just any company – he happens to own the company, Belnick Inc, a furniture retailing venture.
Sean Belnick started his company when he was 14.
Now, before you let those shoulders droop in resignation, you might want to know that the circumstances we live in today, favour us, the young, when it comes to entrepreneurship.
Simply put, you too could have a slice of that gloriously rich pie.
Across the globe, different reports are indicating that the rich are getting younger, resulting in Generation Y being labeled the most entrepreneurial. In the US, the trend was made official when a recent study by The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor showed that 18 to 24-year-olds in the US start businesses at a higher rate than 35 to 44-year-olds.
The most cited reason for this amongst analysts is the digital age that we have grown up in. Youths are more comfortable with the technology at hand, and thus more willing to exploit them to the fullest potential.
And it’s not just happening in the US. Our youths are just as eager thinking up their endeavours.
Of the more successful ones is Fione Tan. She opened her company at 22 and by 24 had already made her first million.
If you google “Internet Marketing Coaching”, Tan’s name would be right there at the top of the list. Basically, this means she is the most popular or sought after Net coach in the world.
After finishing a scholarship-funded degree course in the United States, Tan returned to Malaysia in 1997, and worked for a couple of insurance companies for the next couple of years.
Later, she decided to quit her job and start her own internet company, which offered small businesses the opportunity to have a web presence at an affordable rate. Tan soon gained prominence for being the CEO of her own company at 22, and when asked by a reporter when she expected to make her first million, she said: “Five years.”

It tells a very good message. There is a new path for those who has a dream being his own boss. Education level is no longer an obstacle. Age is not a big problem. Even a limit capital amount can create a new business that can make money. It encourages people to standup again and face tomorrow with a new business mindset.

This is the hope of many “workers”. Being my own boss is my goal. Will follow the steps learnt from Fione. And start to put effort from today. Although it is not gurantee to be successfully, but I believe more effort to put, more successful it can be.

You opened your company at 22 and by 24 had already made your first million - Impressive.
In my opinion, it takes alot of time to play with the keywords though.
This skill is getting well-known and become very competitive in the near future.
It’s quite hard for me to spend too much time and effort to play with the keywords because I have too many businesses have to handle. But I think it’s good for me to know this skill. Guess I will find a professional to design and set up teh website for me and then I will pick up from there.

well, making money online seem to be the way to go. You see it’s rather difficult in doing traditional business in places such as hong kong where I’m living due to high rent and high salaries of workers. Internet business saves one great bucks, by renting a web space and does not need much effort as the traditional business do. if all the automation tools set up correctly, the internet shop can run 7×24x365 all around the year non-stop. I’m definetly following this path!

Be a online boss should work hard. Find the right way to sale products.
Find any information about your product. Search more data about the product’s competitor. Join alifiate program and google adsense also important.

Before I attend the course, I feel directionless on starting internet marketing. After this 4 days course, I really feel it’s not only possible but workable (of cos it’s not an easy way at the beginning). Although my website is still under construction in last 4 weeks, I can only finish product photos and working on pricing. For the essay, I really need Fione and Harrace’s help on how to build an appropriate statement which can help to get higher ranking. Further, the use of blog and connection with other classmates are another way to help we all on website ranking. We all knows it’s only really beginning and need Fione/Harrace coaching us to becomes the next successful example of Brian and Jack.

What a good sharing. It is so true that people are now more capable to start their own business via Internet. It all depends on whether one is able to grab the right direction with good coaching. They have made very efforts on the road to success. for making money in the internet world, we need to have something we are very interested and also time and passion to go through the journey. There were two amazing stories for Sean and Fione. I cannot image that a 14 year-old-boy can build up his own business. The trend to be a millionaire is getting younger and younger. Like Miss Fione Tan, she was also one of the sucessful women in the business world. I really want to be her No.2 one day!!!

Today is the last day of the training, I”m so happy i meet the new friends whose also like me learn how to make money through internet.
Also , if you want to be your own boss, we could choose be a business man , such as have own company or have own web site for internet marketing. It”s low cost , high profit and take it easily.

Being your own boss is not easy. Because we need many factors to happen in a same period of time. It should speed up or shorten on trial and error. But also minimize loss on every attempt until reaching your dream ” to be your own boss” The earlier you start your business, the more chance you have to recover and then restart in case failed. Keep trying! Hope our reaching my detination. to be your own boss!

I have been employed for over 16 years. To be a boss is really my long term dream. After reading Fione’s blog, I believe that I can have the chance to become my own boss. The solution might be “internet marketing”. To be honest, I am not so good in managing all aspect of internet marketing but I think that at least Fione gives me the opportunity to expand my eyesight. In the coming future, I believe, I can be my own boss. See everybody on the site daily.

I am agree that, it can be your own BOSS concept.
Since, Sean Belnick started his company when he was 14. Young is more chance as they can affort to lose.

Today world, many of young people always have a dicuss HOW TO BE THEIR OWN BOSS ? someone said be a stock market investor through internet network including student. However they only simple mind between gain and loss party, as if you cannot make high input low out put,(ie. high profit , low cost), then last they will made the matter worse and loss their money..

It’s a wonderfull article which encourage us to put more affort and time to studt the online business.
As in this didital age, more and more young guys get involed in the online business and we could see so mamny successful stories.
However, the internet business is not “overnight to be millionare” business. According to Fione’s sugeested we have to spend time to get knowledge.
