eOneNet To Launch Asia’s 1st eBusiness Club!

Thursday, November 29th, 2007

Posted by Harrace, Senior Internet Marketing Coach

Yes, eOneNet will be launching Asia’s 1st eBusiness Club in Hong Kong!

Asia 1st eBusiness Club Meeting in HK          Asia 1st eBusiness Club Committee

This is Asia’s first eBusiness Club formed by eOneNet’s coaching students, and managed by eOneNet.

Since eOneNet conducted the 1st Internet marketing coaching program in Malaysia in 2003, we have received numerous requests from graduates to form a students’ club from time to time. But due to time constraints, we have not been able to realise this idea.

After we have entered the Hong Kong Internet marketing scene since early last year, some zealous students raised the idea again and wanted to have some kind of networking platform after graduation.

We felt that the time is now ripe to launch the club in Hong Kong. To push this forward, we formed the 1st members’ committee to organise this. Our vision is not just to form a students’ association. The objectives are:

- To provide a continuing education platform for the members, with monthly education session on Internet business related topics

- To refer eBusiness and cross promote among members’ websites with the objectives of increasing online and offline sales

- To build links for members’ sites with the objectives of increasing search engines rankings

The 1st pre-launch meeting was conducted this week with resounding success, with some 30 eOneNet coaching students participating. The education slot was presented by Ryan Li, a Yahoo top seller award winner, who shared how to take good photos to be posted on websites.

Ryan Li, Yahoo top seller taught us how to take good photo for your website product     Ryan Li, Yahoo top seller taught us how to take good photo for your website product

The 2nd pre-launch meeting (attendance restricted to invited eOneNet coaching students only) will be held on 7 Jan, 08 at eOneNet Centre in Causeway Bay. If you are / were eOneNet coaching student and wish to get an invitation, pls let me know.

The Official Launch of the Club will be held on 30 Jan, 08. This is open to eOneNet coaching students and those who are referred by them.

What countries can withdraw Paypal money into your bank account locally?

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

Posted by Fione Tan, head internet marketing coach

After the post about accepting paypal money for Malaysians, i’ve received enquiries about what are the countries that can directly transfer funds in their Paypal account into their local bank account. Here are a list of countries that which are allowed for withdrawal from their Paypal account using the adding bank account function.

- Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, French Guiana, Greece, Guadeloupe, Hong Kong, Hungary, India *, Ireland, Japan, Luxembourg *, Martinique, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Reunion, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, Taiwan and Thailand

The countries above can not only withdraw money into their local bank account, they can also send the money to the money into a US bank account. For India & Luxembourg which is marked with asterisk above, they have an extra option to withdraw their paypal money into their debit, credit or prepaid card.

When you withdraw funds from your Paypal account into the local bank account, there is No Additional Fees charged if you withdraw the standard withdrawal limit (depending on your country). E.g. for Australians, you can withdraw AU$150 and above into your bank account for free, and if for for amount AUD149.99 or less, then you pay a withdrawal fee of AUD1.00.

Certain countries have their own localised version of Paypal so you need to sign up at the local paypal website. Sample of those countries are like Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, and United Kingdom.

Malaysians can now accept Paypal and how to withdraw money locally?

Monday, November 19th, 2007

Posted by Fione Tan, head Internet Marketing Coach

Good news for Malaysians “eCommercers”! Malaysians who wants to sell online, can also accept Paypal for their credit card processing and then this amount of money can now be transferred into your Malaysian credit card.

Some of you may have heard of the news about 1.5 months ago but just in case that you have not been informed, here are some paypal tips. When i was chatting with one of my 2006 coaching participant earlier this afternoon, she was already aware of this news when she called our internet marketing office in Oct, and was informed by my team about this good news. Then reminded me that hey, i’ve not written about this in the blog yet so here is a paypal guide on the ways that you can use paypal to accept payment for your items online, plus how to receive money for the items you sold.

First, what you need to do is to go to Paypal and then register for a Premier (if you wish to accept money using your personal name) or Business Account (if you wish to accept money using your registered company name). The buy now buttons or codes for online shopping is also given by paypal for free for you. All you need to do is to add your item to the paypal buy now or shopping cart and then copy the generated codes to paste into the source code of your website.

Then, how do you really get the money for items you sold? Customers will click on the buy now button and then use their credit card or paypal account to complete that transaction. When the transaction is successful then you will receive an email from paypal stating the name of the payee and the amount paid.

For most countries like Singapore or Hong Kong, all they have to do to withdraw the money is to login into paypal then click the withdraw button and then insert your local bank account information there. The process from the day you ask for this money withdrawal until the day the funds is received in your bank account is 1 week or less.

Is it free to withdraw money from your paypal account? Yes if you have reach the stated standard withdrawal amount in Paypal. For Singapore, you only need to accumulate S$200 or more in your paypal account while for Hong Kong, you need to have HK$1,000 or more in your paypal account. So if you only have S$100 in your paypal account, let’s wait till you reach S$200 before you request for the withdrawal or else you will need to pay a withdrawal fee.

How about Malaysians? We do not withdraw money into our Malaysian bank account. How you do it is to add your Malaysian credit card and then, when you wish to take out the money, you transfer this out to your credit card. How about the currency exchange? If your paypal amount is in US$, then this amount will then be converted back into Malaysian Ringgit based on the daily exchange rate by the bank. Then this amount will show up in your credit card statement.

Do i use paypal to accept money? I use paypal as an altenative payment mode only. eOneNet has got own direct payment gateway with the local bank, so whatever transactions we received, will be in our bank account by the 3rd working day itself plus the transaction fee is lower than those given by 3rd party ecommerce merchant gateways like paypal. I do have paypal and from what i checked just now, i’ve got four figure HK dollar and some US dollars inside the account but i’m unlikely to withdraw these out as i can use this money to pay for products and services which i buy online in US dollars and HK dollars.

So now Malaysians can easily withdraw money from paypal account via their credit cards. The only drawback is the loss in some value due to currency exchange from other currency to RM.

Sign up for PayPal and start accepting credit card payments instantly.

eOneNet To Introduce First English Internet Marketing Seminar in Hong Kong!

Monday, November 19th, 2007

Posted by Harrace, Senior Internet Marketing Coach

I am writing this post from my KL office, announcing this piece of good news. With our own new office and computer lab in HK, eOneNet will be introducing more training courses and seminars.

Last month, we have introduced the first Certified Professional Trainers program in Hong Kong, for those people who intend to be a trainer and for seasoned trainers who want to learn how to market a successful training business (like eOneNet!).

This month, owing to numerous requests, we will introduce the first Internet marketing seminar in Hong Kong to be conducted in English!

Although most Cantonese speaking people in Hong Kong prefer to attend seminars in Cantonese, there are also a considerable number of people educated in English schools and a large no. of expatriates who are also interested to learn how to sell online and make real money.

We will introduce the same popular Internet marketing seminars we’ve been conducting in Malaysia and Singapore, with more focus on successful case studies of our Hong Kong students.

The first English seminar will be held on 30 November at Hong Kong eOneNet Center. For details and registration, go to http://www.eonenet.com/internet_marketing_hongkong.htm NOW!

Happy Birthday to Fione!

Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

Happy Birthday, Fione!

I celebrated Fione’s birthday with some of her university classmates in one of her favourite Japanese restaurants in Hong Kong this evening.

The young kid in the video is her good friend, Christine’s 2 year old daughter. Their family have settled down in the U.S. and just flew back to HK for a holiday.

What about Fione’s birthday gifts? J Lo jewelry watch, Nine West wallet, Dior Powder …. and best of all, she has moved to a new HK apartment and a new HK office last week! Congrats!

Free live internet seminar in Kuala Lumpur with Fione in Hong Kong!

Monday, November 5th, 2007

Posted by Fione Tan

I just finished the first live internet marketing seminar session in Kuala Lumpur’s Palace of Golden Horses, and the room was fully packed with business owners and internet entrepreneurs. How can i have the training with people in Malaysia while i’m in Hong Kong now?

Yes, using the Internet and a web camera plus headset microphone on my laptop. Have you met your customers using the internet meeting method like this? Here are some of the things that you need to also start your online training.

1. Laptop or PC

2. Microphone and headset (use the microphone to talk to your customers, and use the  headset to hear the message, but if you have the speaker on your computer already then you can just use a microphone)

3. Internet connection (best if broadband)

4. Web camera (if you wish to use a video function to view each other)

5. Online Messaging system such as these free ones below:-

a) Skype

b) MSN Messenger

c) Yahoo Messenger

The other person that you wish to meet online should also have the same type of software installed on their computer. If you are doing a live training on the Internet with a group of people, then on the customers’ end, there should be these extra items :-

- audio cable to link the computer speaker’s audio sound to the room PA system so that the message you deliver can be listened by everyone in the room

-  connect the computer screen to the LCD projector and display on the white screen

The session we had tonight was interesting and passed by faster than expected. Among the items discussed tonight were ideas on how to reduce Google Adwords (pay per click advertisement) spending while increasing its effectiveness. If you paid US$10, and got back US$40 in net income, then it won’t be much of an issue right? But if you had paid US$100, and only made back US$5, then you will definitely be dissatisfied with this online advertising method. The participant named Nor was having 2 websites and faced the problem above so we gave her some free tips on how to increase her advertising ROI (Return on Investment).

Other website marketing issues we talked about included how a consultant can sell consultancy services worldwide, and how can a teacher start an internet business selling ebook.

Online seminars are also called web seminar, or in short “webinars”. We should start a session for free internet marketing webinars soon, would you like to join too?

Hong Kong Internet Marketing Coaching 2nd Weekend Reveals More Make Money Online Secrets!

Sunday, November 4th, 2007

Posted by Harrace, Senior Internet Marketing Coach

Wow, finally, we are conducting the 1st Internet marketing coaching program in our own new computer lab this weekend, with FULL HOUSE attendance!

The Internet line here is the best in term of speed and stability, compared to all our other offices. Best of all, the line is up all the time. In any event, we have another back-up line, just in case.

The No.1 problem for websites are lack of traffic. NO TRAFFIC, NO SALES!

Today’s focus is on driving targeted traffic to your website. Please note the importance of the word “targeted”.

Fione started off by teaching the secrets of  ”Getting Top Ranking in Search Engines”.  Many people wonder how eOneNet and our customers / students can manage to get so many top rankings in search engines, for highly competitive and valuable keywords and search terms. In this session, Fione explained step by step how this can be achieved, even for complete Internet newbies.

One of our successful students is Darren from 10acne.com, doing one of the popular items - acne treatment. We are hosting his site and since a few months ago, he has been asking us to increase his site bandwidth each month, because of consistent surge in his traffic, thanks to getting top rankings in acne related keywords.

One of the new viral marketing tools we reveal is video marketing. We show how you can incorporate a video to your blog and website easily. Samples of the videos we played included Fione’ s TV interview, and also her baby voice singing clip. So making money online can be really fun too!

eOneNet’s New Hong Kong Office Holds the 1st Blog Workshop!

Friday, November 2nd, 2007

Posted by Harrace, Senior Internet Marketing Coach

What can you do in less than one month? For us, organise a new CPT (Certified Professional Trainer) seminar, finding a new HK office, renovation it, setting up broadband internet line (100 MB!) in our own computer lab, buying brand new computers and notebooks!

This evening, we are conducting the 1st Blog workshop in our own computer lab in Causeway Bay Hong Kong! Budding entrepreneurs as well as business owners gathered in our full sea-view office to learn to create their first blog, and they get to choose to use the latest laptops or desktop computers.

Compared to all the computer labs in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia, I found that the Internet line we set up in Hong Kong is the fastest, with an upload and download speed of 100MB!

Some people are still not very interested to open blogs, quoting reasons such as being too busy to write, not knowing what to write etc. However, I assure you the benefits of having a SEO friendly blog will outweigh all the negative considerations.

First of all, creating a frequently updated blog can increase the traffic of your site. Secondly, a SEO friendly blog can get you more top rankings in search engines.

Thirdly, a blog can be your profit centre. We as well as many of our students are using blogs to make money online, and many of us are running more than 1 blog, some having even more than 10 blogs! And each blog is making money, from a few hundred to a few thousand per month.

One of the live exercise we go through during the class is to create a new source of income using blog. Wow, each student has managed to do this, within 15 minutes, and start making money online!

Another indispensable marketing tools that we share is video marketing. eOneNet is proud to be one of the very first in Asia to engage in this marketing tool. If you go to Google video or YouTube and search for eOneNet, or Fione Tan, can you find out how many videos we have uploaded already?

Wait, also search for Harrace, and voila, it also shows some of my videos, including one of the popular ones showing me performing in a singing contest!
