Who Has Lost the 3rd Global Search Engine Spot to Baidu?
Posted by Harrace, Senior Internet Marketing Coach
China’s No.1 search engine Baidu has grabbed the 3rd position in the global search market, from Microsoft, according to comScore latest research.
The qSearch study found out that Google is still the King of search engines.
1st: Google: 37.1 billion searches (including 31 billion on its search engine and 5 billion on YouTube)
2nd: Yahoo: 8.5 billion searches
3rd: Baidu: 3.2 billion searches
4th: Microsoft: 2.2 billion searches
5th: (Surprised!) Korean search engine Naver.com
So this reinforces our strategies to focus on getting top rankings in Google. As a matter of fact, when our sites achieve top rankings in Google, most of the times, we also get top rankings in Yahoo and Baidu.
