Hong Kong Sun Interviews Fione Tan with Compelling Headline

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

Posted by Harrace, Senior Internet Marketing Coach

Hong Kong Sun newspaper published an interesting interview with Fione yesterday entitled:

半桶水IT女馳騁網世界 (Half bucket full water IT girl riding the Internet World)

The angle of the story is that even a not so computer savvy girl can make it big in the Internet world. So you don’t really need to know computer or be Internet savvy when you start your Internet venture! More importantly is your passion and commitment, and willingness to learn.

Hong Kong Train-the-trainer by KC See Live

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

Posted by Harrace, Senior Internet Marketing Coach

I still haven’t recovered my voice fully this week. However, I received different “recipes” for sore throat treatment, ranging from eating / drinking  preserved olives, century eggs, and even dead bees! (which I have tried!).

Fortunately, I can rely on Fione and my team to do the talking for me during the coaching and seminars in the past week.

Our mentor KC See will be coming to Hong Kong again tomorrow to conduct train-the-trainer seminars. If you are interested to find out whether you have the qualities of a good trainer and how to start and run a successful training business like us, you should attend KC See’s seminar and consultation sessions:

Date: 28 Mar, 08   6.45pm - 9.30pm

         29 Mar, 08  2pm - 5pm

Check out the details at http://www.eonenet.com/train-the-trainer.htm

Hong Kong Internet Marketing Coaching Reveals Make Money Online Secrets

Saturday, February 23rd, 2008

Posted by Harrace, Senior Internet Marketing Coach

eOneNet is hosting another Hong Kong Internet Marketing Coaching program this weekend with FULL HOUSE attendance.

This is the only Internet Marketing coaching in Hong Kong which reveals the secrets of finding and sourcing for hot products to sell online, whether you want to target the local Hong Kong market, the US and Europe market, or the biggest Asia market, China. You may either sell your products to China, or buy cheap products from China and resell in the West.

We share different online tools from these countries to use (all free ones) to research on these matters. Once you’ve done the research properly, you will save lots of time and investment to sell the wrong products or target the wrong market, which is the biggest mistake of most Internet entrepreneurs.

I lost my voice due to a flu since two days ago and could not speak! So Fione has to speak for my topics as well. So I have to say to her: Many thanks!

Fione presenting zealously before the Hong Kong class.

One of the most awaited topic for today is How to Get Top Rankings in Google, Yahoo (including Yahoo China), and Baidu - the Top 3 international search engines. We are proud to say that eOneNet is one of very few Internet marketing coaches outside China who has mastered the secrets of getting top rankings in China search engines, for the right popular keywords , for FREE.

The most expensive domain names on the Web

Friday, February 22nd, 2008

Website domain name tips posted by Fione Tan, head internet marketing coach.

Have you got your own .com name? Why is buying a dotcom name better than your local domain name, such as .com.my and .com.sg ? First of all, using a .com domain name potrays the idea that you are going for worldwide business, and this type of domain name is available for purchase by any person via the Internet. To check if your name is available, you can use domain registrars such as http://www.FreeDomainsRegistration.com

Another business idea is to sell your domain name. Here are some of the most expensive domain name transactions.

1. Sex.com - sold for US$12 million dollars in 2005.

- the domain name was originally registered by a software salesperson, Gary Kremen, in 1994.

2. Porn.com - sold for US$9.5 million dollars in May 2007 to MXN Limited in the highest domain name sale in cash transaction

3. Business.com - sold for US$7.5 million dollars in 1999

4. Diamond.com - sold for US$7.5 million dollars in 2006

- sold to Ice.com by Odimo Incorporated (and included the sale of the website inventory too)

5. Beer.com - sold for US$7 million dollars in 1999

- originally owned by a web developer, Bill Fisher and sold to Interbrew company

How is the value of the domain name now? Well, looks like the idea of having a great domain name is still very much alive, and in June 2007, these 2 domain names were sold at a handsome price too.

1. Seniors.com - US$1.8 million dollars

2. CreditCheck.com - US$3 million dollars

I wonder how much would our company brand be worth in the coming years?

So, have you done a check for some domain names this year? Might you be the seller of the next multi-milli0n dollar domain name?

Free image hosting for website - storing photos for your website & blog

Thursday, February 21st, 2008

Review of free website image tool by Fione Tan, head internet marketing coach

Free image hosting are one of the most popular topics for web design as well as for blog owners. If you have your own web hosting space, then you can host your images and photos in the same web hosting space as well.

If using free blog softwares or blogging platforms like blogger or wordpress, you can also host your images in their free blog account as well. However, the free image hosting space given is rather limited.

Here we take a look at some of the popular image hosting services available on the Internet.

1. Flickr - owned by Yahoo!

- free version allows you to host unlimited images (in lower quality) and display up to 200 recent photos in this account. There is a limit in the number of images you can upload each month.

- you can upgrade to the Pro Account for US$24.95 per year to store unlimited high resolution images online

- you can see a sample of the paid image hosting upgraded version at http://www.flickr.com/photos/internetmarketing where i can create unlimited sets such as 1 set of images for my travel to korea, another set for internet marketing images and then another set for my shopping best buy items.

2. Photobucket

- allows you to host images / photos as well as videos in one account itself

- sample is like http://s250.photobucket.com/albums/gg248/eonenet/

How do you proceed to host your images for free? First, go to the websites above and create your free account. In your free account, you can upload the images from your PC/Laptop and then these images can be viewed online.

On the webpage that displays your images, right click the image file and you will find the url of that image. Copy that file name / url and then paste this into your own blog when you are creating the new post.

An alternative method is to directly insert this HTML code into your webpage source code.

<img src=http://fionetan.com/images/award_zdnet2.gif>

Then amend the url above with your correct file name and this image will automatic appear on your website or blog.
