Winning an Olympics Gold

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

Posted by Fione Tan, head Internet Marketing Coach

Olympics season is here! No matter where you are, everyone is buzzing about who’s winning the gold medal and watching the winners on TV or online. In Beijing 2008 Olympics, the tagline of “One World, One Dream” has become one of the easiest remembered tagline to remember.

While watching the Olympics the other night on TV, i was attracted by the 10m platform synchronised diving event. Each team was made up of 2 divers and it was amazing to see how both of them can actually move perfectly together in their orchestrated performance.

Then, the commentators were talking about how these sportsmen and sportswomen practise very diligently every single day. Practising hours per day with average jumps of about 80 to 100 times, imagine how these divers climb up the 10m platform and then jumping down again for so many times! A normal person would definitely be lacking the commitment to try this out by themselves, and having a Great Coach definitely helps! This is really persistence and their hardwork paid off, when they can now strive to win the medal for their country.

Looking at the amount of commitment by these Olympic sportsmen and sportswomen, it made me thinking if only a person can apply the same amount of time and dedication towards their dream of starting an Internet Business. If you too can spend a few hours a day managing an Internet Business, it would be just a matter of time when you can hit your goal income online. It would be fair to say that Making Money Online with your Internet Marketing Coach, is surely easier than winning a Gold at the Olympics!

Just like any regular person, I too get excited when a team i support ends up winning a medal. Check out the photos of Harrace & I posing with one of the Olympics Torch of Beijing 2008

Happy Birthday Harrace!

Monday, October 29th, 2007

Posted by Fione Tan, internet marketing coach

As we were finishing the Asia internet marketing coaching session on Sunday, the business owners and entrepreneurs started to sing a Birthday song for Harrace, one of the internet marketing coaches.

Harrace looks younger and younger each year, so i’m sure he’s enjoying his internet business more than his original professional background in law.

To Harrace, Happy Birthday to a Great Partner - in work and in life!

Top Internet Marketing Coach Reviews Best Airport Business Lounges

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

Posted by Fione, Head Internet Marketing Coach

I am now writing this post from Bali!

I’ve been hired to conduct private internet marketing training & workshop for an event organised by Ministry of Agriculture, Indonesia and the group of participants consists of professionals from more than 10 countries.

On 29 July (Sunday), I took the early morning flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Denpasar, Bali island of Indonesia. It was the flight MH715 and departs at 9.50am. Each day, there are 2 flights operated by Malaysia Airlines. I was taking the Business Class flight and the price was about RM3,600 with the airport taxes for this flight sector (of course, this was paid for by the organizer of the event). The economy class flight ticket was about RM1,800 due to the holiday season, so if at a non-peak season the air ticket price will be cheaper. I was late for the KL Sentral in-town check-in (you need to be there before 2 hours of your departure time) so I had to drag my luggage to the airport. There, I realised that the priority counters for business class was slow, where I waited for at least 15 minutes.

I went through the immigration and then headed to the Malaysia Airlines lounge. Breakfast was served till 11am so I ate prawn kuey teow soup noodle and ordered an orange ice blended drink.

Magazines, newspapers were aplenty and the comfy cushions could easily enable you to doze off. If the soup or porridge were not your choice, you can help yourselves to the Malaysia (nasi lemak, sambal, chicken rending), or the Western (chicken croissant sandwiches, baked beans, eggs & toasts) style spread of light snacks.

One thing very different that you won’t find in other airport lounges is that for Malaysia Airlines you can find the “kaya” jam spread! I should try to toast the bread and make my very own “roti bakar” next time. Cutleries used in the Malaysia Airlines lounge in KLIA was the Wedgewood brand (which you can see the W sign when you flip the plate / saucer over)

How does this compare with all the other business class lounges? The national carrier business class lounge are having the best facilities when the lounge is in their own country. Some of the business class lounges I’ve been to include:-

  1. Kuala Lumpur International Airport Cathay Pacific lounge
  2. Kuala Lumpur International Airport Emirates lounge
  3. Bangkok Airport Thai Airways lounge
  4. Hong Kong Cathay Pacific The Wing lounge (they have got 2 lounges, the other called The Pier which I always seemed to miss out),
  5. Dubai, UAE Emirates Lounge
  6. Lahore, Pakistan Cathay Pacific Lounge
  7. Tehran, Iran Emirates Lounge

Which one I felt was the best? I like the Dubai Emirates Lounge in its airport and probably because I had a nice refreshing shower during my travel there, and also its decor and good food!

If you are taking business class and plan to visit the lounge, do make sure that you have at least 1 hour to spare prior to the departure time and then you will have time to enjoy the visit there. I’ve missed out many too eg like the Taipei Airport Malaysia Airlines lounge, and more.

070707 - Kota Kinabalu Internet Marketing Seminar

Saturday, July 7th, 2007

Posted by Harrace, Senior Internet Marketing Coach

It’s not 007 I am talking about. It’s 070707 - 7 July, 07 today, which doesn’t happen very often right?

I happened to be in Kota Kinabalu with Fione today, conducting an Internet Marketing seminar this morning. Our last trip to this beautiful land (or is this an Island?) was more than one year ago. This morning, a group of zealous Internet would-be entrepreneurs listened to Fione’s presentation attentively.

One of the participants, a teacher, said he has been visiting eOneNet.com’s websites daily for quite a long time, and that’s why he grabbed the opportunity to listen to us in person. At the end of the seminar, he purchased our popular Internet Marketing Video Megapack.

Another participant is a manufacturer of office furnitures, who has been selling locally only. He is interested to sell online but seemed to have a lot of obstacles, ranging from the question of getting an export license, up to how he should be collecting payment online. But this does not stop him from signing up for our Internet Marketing Coaching program to be held in KL in September.

I had the impression that KK is an island because normally after work, I would stay at one of the beach hotels (but Fione assured me that this was no small island). This afternoon, I have checked in Nexus Resort Karambunai, one of my favourite hotels. Last time when I was here, I dropped my Gucci Sunglass into the sea while swimming, and couldn’t find it!

We’ve stayed in most of the popular resorts & hotels in Kota Kinabalu. Nexus Karambunai apart from having a white, long beach, also have great golf facilities and an even more awesome spa. This hotel is about 40 minutes away from the city centre.

Our first stay in Kota Kinabalu a few years back was in the Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Hotel. We even got to do some island hopping then. Another popular KK resort that we have stayed is the Sutera Harbour, where there is use free shuttle bus to commute between the Magellan Sutera Harbour and the Pacific Sutera Harbour. There is a popular Mandara Spa. In both hotels, we stayed at the Club Room and used their club floor facilities such as the evening cocktails.

Another favourite past time here is to eat Fresh Seafood. Last night, we had a red loster & coral trout fish for dinner at the Ocean Seafood along Jalan Api-Api (just beside Promenade Hotel). Now, while waiting for my lunch at Nexus’ Penyu Coffee House, i’m typing out the blog. I can’t wait to go for a quick dive into the sea!

Update: After posting this article, I noted from cover stories in various newspaper that 777 happens once in 100 years and people all round the world used this date for special events, including wedding, but most of the stuffs were such as flowers, venues were double the price. Fione even has a pregnant friend who wanted to give birth on this date, but just that the doctor was on leave so she had to give birth one day before!

Make Money Online the Salsa Way

Wednesday, June 6th, 2007

Posted by Harrace, Senior Internet Marketing Coach

“Can a normal person make money online?”

This is the question posed by the Star to Fione, in a written interview last week. This is in fact a commonly asked question.

Most people know that there are gigantic making money opportunities on the Internet. Most people want to make money online (in particular, 99% of people attending eOneNet’s Internet marketing seminars expressed a strong desire to make money online during the seminar). But how come not everyone has started an Internet business, and not everyone is making money online?

You may get the insight for the answer via dancing Salsa! (more…)

What to buy as a Birthday Gift?

Thursday, January 4th, 2007

What is the best birthday gift you have ever received? For some individuals, birthday gifts are a vital part of their celebration, while for some others, they do not even celebrate their birthdays.

Artini bear charm for Fione Tan

For me, birthday gifts are very important, and during my younger years, I tend to see how unique each gift would be and its price. Among my expensive gifts received included diamond jewelry, and apparels. However, as I became more mature, I realized that it was not the monetary value of the item that mattered.
