Search Engine Optimization Workshop Hong Kong

Sunday, October 11th, 2009

Posted by SEO Coach, Fione Tan

This weekend is the Hong Kong Search Engine Optimization Workshop for www.InternetMarketingCoaching.com entrepeneurs. Apart from learning how to get Free No.1 Ranking on Google, Yahoo and even China search engine, Baidu. Why spend time to discover how to get natural top rankings in search engines for your website, online store and blog? Should you just focus on Pay per click advertising on search engines (PPC search marketing)?

We have also covered other important topics including popular online marketing techniques such as blog marketing, email marketing, video marketing and other website automation tools including autoresponders.

Here are some of the more frequently asked questions about search engine optimization

1. Do i need to be very technical to learn SEO?

SEO is not that technical. It’s about understanding the Search Engine Algorithm and see how you can amend or build your website to comply to contents that appeal to the search engines. Therefore, most entrepreneurs in our search engine workshop at http://www.InternetMarketingCoaching.com become amazed at how simple SEO techniques can be learnt.

2. Will having more domain names all forwarded or linked to the same 1 website increase the search engine ranking?

If you have originally purchased a few domains, directly forward each domain name to your websites or even if it is just 1 website. However, it doesn’t help in your search engine position if you forward all the domains to only 1 single website as the contents are still the same and therefore will not get a good ranking on Google

 3. I am a reseller or agent of a brand or company, of which a company agent website has been given to me. Can i just use this 1 webpage to get No.1 ranking on Yahoo!, Google or MSN?

If you are a reseller or agent of that company or product and the company already offers a complimentary website for each of their partner, that means everyone is using the similar website contents and information. Therefore, the search engines will be unlikely to give you a good top ranking position for free. You should create your own blog or website with your own unique contents.

Getting Google Adwords clicks but No Sales?

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

Google adwords case study by Fione Tan, head internet marketing coach

One of my internet marketing coaching student submitted a question he had about his Google Adwords account. Some of you might have already tried the Google Adwords pay per click advertising but received little or even no sales right? Here was the scenario that our coaching entrepreneur faced:-

Before eOneNet coaching, I have previously tried a Google Adwords campaign, and managed to get 500clicks but I didn’t receive a single sale. I have linked my adwords advertisement to the merchant’s website and all the keywords were provided to me by my master affiliate. How come I can’t get any single sale even after spending money on Google adwords?

Here are some analysis by our Internet Marketing Coach on how to turn increase results from Google Adwords spending.

You can get no sale due to a few reasons:-
a) poor sales letter or offer so users don’t feel any good point to buy

- you can promote a product or ebook as hard as you want but if the offer or sales letter or website contents is poorly written, then the customer might not feel that this is their best choice of solution

b) since this is via affiliate program, maybe the user already saw this product recommended by another reseller / affiliate before
- if there are too many resellers promoting the same product, the user or customer that you have gained (through your google adwords click) might leave immediately as they have seen this item previously

c) linked to the wrong page eg like if the merchant sell many different ebooks / products then should not link to the home page but to link to the specific webpage where your recommended product is at

- you should not aim to buy popular keywords just to try and get some traffic. Rather it’s best to get qualified leads so the way the ad is written (the offer stated in your Google adwords advertisement), should reflect what the interested purchaser is likely to be attracted to

- the lesser the no. of clicks that the user needs to click on when browsing the merchant website the better, as they might feel lost if there are too many offers /products on the home page that you linked to

d) the ad in google adwords did not match the product offered eg like you mentioned free trial in the adwords but then user went to the merchant page and found there is no such thing so then no results on sales

e) Keywords you have used for your google adwords might be unsuitable

- it was mentioned that you did not come up with the keywords yourself, but these were provided by your master affiliate. This means all the affiliates are using the same keywords so it’s not suitable to be used. Moreover, you should deal direct with the Merchant website and not with the Master Affiliate so that you can have direct access to the most accurate information.

For those of you thinking of using Google Adwords to boost your online sales, you should first setup your free account and then create your test adwords campaign. Then monitor your statistics and results after getting about 100 clicks. With the 1st batch of clicks, then you can restrategise eg like come up with a variety of google adwords ad and then see which offer / contents is giving you the better clicks and return on investments.

Most importantly, you should analyse the product that you are promoting. If this is a good product with great value which can appeal to the prospects, then they will turn into customers, and not just browsers.

Are you paying for Google AdWords clicks fraud?

Wednesday, December 13th, 2006

Google’s share price today is US$481.78, with a market cap of 147.5 billion. What makes it so valuable? Its main income source is derived from Google Adwords, where advertisers place their ads in the search results of Google as “sponsored links” on a pay-per-click basis. However, recent class actions against Google and Yahoo revealed that more than 10% of the clicks are bogus.
