Merry Christmas from Seoul, Korea – 聖誕快樂

Tuesday, December 25th, 2007

Posted by Fione Tan, head internet marketing coach

Merry Christmas from Seoul, Korea! I’ve been here since 20 Dec for my Christmas holidays, and what have i been doing? I went for ski lessons in Gangchon Resort and it was very exciting as it was my 1st time in learning this new sport. Sports has never been my strong point throughout my life so it was an outrageous funny event as i skiied in all directions, backwards, slanting, and whatever “wrong” directions.

It sounds so much like LIFE! I kept falling down but laughed all the way as my ski coaches helped me up again and again. So, it’s not how hard or how many times you fell, but how strongly you can push yourself to stand up again after the Fall.

Here are 2 short Christmas videos i recorded from Sinchon in Seoul, Korea

* My English Christmas greetings video

* 聖誕快樂 My Chinese Christmas greetings video

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas & hopefully you are enjoying your holidays with loved ones!

Do feel free to leave your Christmas greetings by clicking on the Comments section of this post.

Hong Kong Brands & Products Expo 2006 with Fione

Sunday, December 31st, 2006

This was the first year i’m visiting the Hong Kong Brands & Products Expo on 30 Dec 2006. This is open till 10pm and is like a night market concept (like Malaysia’s pasar malam). You can visit this fair each year at the Victoria Park in Causeway Park.

Hk brands & products fair @ victoria parkHere is my picture at the entrance of the fair.

You will need to buy a ticket for entry and that is only about HK$10, then you will get a catalog with discount vouchers and contest forms too.

Dress to walk comfortably as you’ll need to pass through lots of people and booths.

Check out my Google video here about the Hong Kong 46th Brands & Products expo.

eOneNet to launch silver jewelry necklace collection

Sunday, December 3rd, 2006

Posted by Harrace

It’s Sunday morning and I got up late. I decided to spend the afternoon in my office doing some work as my laptop ran out of battery. I had lunch in the Macau Street Restaurant in my office building but the food today, stewed toufu with roast pork, was awful.

When I got back to office, I started taking pictures of our new silver jewelry necklace collection using my Sony digital camera. (more…)

Extending Corporate Branding to Retail Experience

Wednesday, October 25th, 2006

There are thousands of brands flashing in front of us each day, and at times, it becomes so common that people might even forget that the advertisement is corporate branding strategy.

Like the panadol, aspirin, prozac or actal, it can even become a “word” that we use to represent cures for our headache, migraine or gastric pain. Therefore, many corporations are looking at other interactive ways to build their mindshare, using online branding and offline branding.

Here are some samples that i’ve come across.

Coca Cola store in ChinaThe Coca-Cola store in the Mixc shopping mall in Shenzhen city, China. This is the first Coke store i’ve visited, and i was tempted to buy the T-shirts, caps, and also the mini-fridge.

In corporate events, where companies give out this similar merchandise, say a company polo shirt, most guests are unwilling to wear the shirt, thinking that they look as though they are promoting the Company for free. Here in the Coca-Cola store, people are paying money to wear apparel, and lifestyle home decor items.
