For the UK, which Fione and I are now flying to today, online spending is expected to reach a record 120 million pounds on Christmas day. Some 4.3 million people are expected to log on looking for bargains, 500,000 more than last year, as reported by the Daily Mail.

For online sales, the discount is up to 70% off in various online department stores.

In sharp contrast, in Hong Kong, there is little or no discount for traditional shopping.
