There is no certainty in life when one works for someone else and she related, " I know of a man who had to start life over when he lost his job after 18 years of working. That is sad and heartbreaking, and it set me thinking." Thus, in 2000 she ventured into the Internet business with some shareholders. It was not easy convincing them because the Internet was still new then in Malaysia. Nevertheless, she is happy to have been involved in educating and grooming Malaysians, "especially now that everything is 'e-comething'," she continued.

She admits that she lacks discipline when it comes to time management. Though she is in the office by 10.00am, she is most active past 12 midnight. "Cyber is timeless, that is an advantage but that does give one an excuse to be undisciplined," she warned. She fears boredom, and since this industry requires her to be constantly updated with latest internet marketing strategies, she loves the challenges.

"It's very motivating to be able to earn sales worlwide in US$. Ranging from taking a swim in the pool, or going for a spa massage, and coming back to my hotel room, to discover that i've just earned an extra US$2,000 in the past hour. Being on the Internet, is one of the greatest leverage!" smiles Fione.
